How to get your DOST Final Clearance

You took the exam, passed it whoot! whoot!, now you graduated and you are doomed ....... ( it is an exaggeration really :p ) to work in the country according to the length you patiently waited for your stipend, LOL... but seriously, it is part of the contract that you signed ( you probably know about that already ). Yep, you cannot tour the world just yet, or you can, if you want to pay everything plus 12% interest ( not a bad idea, huh? )

Ok, you opt to serve our motherland ( less expensive )... so this is what you need to get:

1. Certificate of Employment ( photocopy not original ... , if you have worked at different companies, the sum of the length of your employment should be the same as the length you enjoyed your scholarship )

2. DOST-SEI Scholar Graduates TRACER Form ( you can get one from the nearest DOST Regional Office
or
Click HERE to download ( link will take you to 4shared.com )
or
leave a comment below with your email that way i can send you the form ). Oh and make sure it's completely filled out. Haha. It should look like the pictures at the bottom ( just to give you an overview)

3. Letter of Request. It can be something like this: ( Please confirm the Director and building address because I don't update as much as I should, hehe )

Dr. Filma G. Brawner

General Santos Avenue
Bicutan, Taguig City, 1631

Dear Madam,

Good day!

I am requesting for the Final Clearance. Attached are all the requirements.

I am very thankful for the opportunity that was given to me. I wish to go outside the country to find a better job with better pay for me and my family.

Respectfully yours,

Juan de la Cruz, EE, ECE, ME, Ph.D. ( whoa! )

I know you can come up with a better one, after all you are one smart ass cream of the crop, maybe not the cream, lol, but certainly one awesome crop.

.... If you wanna plagiarize my letter, plagiarize away... ( not the blog :p , just the letter )

4. Diploma / TOR ( photocopy, if Diploma is unavailable TOR will do, both would be best )

If you have accomplished all the ( 4 ) requirements:
  • Certificate of Employment
  • DOST-SEI Scholar Graduates TRACER Form
  • Letter of Request.
  • Diploma / TOR
.......... then.......... if you live near the area (Bicutan Taguig, Metro Manila ), you can drop it off personally, it normally takes 1-3 weeks before you get the clearances, depending on the queue. Or, if you live outside Metro Manila, like me, just drop all the requirements to the nearest DOST Regional Office, they will do all the work for you. Be patient. They will tell you when you can call them to pick the documents up. And once they have it, you should be free.... except there are things you need done, which is discussed on the caption below the pictures.

This is the letter you need to submit to the the lawyer of BOI mentioned above ( I have just verified that only BOI Manila can clear your name off the blacklist, Regional Office can't do it ), just let them receive it, you just need the stamp saying they have received it ( which mean you're cleared ), you would want to accomplish this before you would try to leave the country, or else... you might be banned from boarding the plane, don't tell me i didn't warn you.....  :p
This will be attached to the first letter, so you need to photocopy this.... a lot of copies, believe me, as you have read you need to give it to DFA and NBI  they will be asking for this before releasing your passport and clearance
Just a MEMO

Then you can travel the world.... Pasalubong!!!! Pasalubong!!!!

I hope this will help you, if you have any question, don't be shy, leave a question on the comment section and i will do my best to help you out.

God bless!!!!!

UPDATE!!!!!

Sorry for the late update guys, the travel ban has already been lifted, you should be able to travel abroad without any problem, secure a copy of the MEMO though, just in case :) God bless!
