Review

I was a bit skeptical on watching this series at first because the trailer seemed very mushy. The beginning is quite alright, but as it progresses it becomes very interesting.I specially like Seo Yoon Ho's (Joo Sang Wook) character, I became a fan of him after watching this series.

The main actress acting is very good, though at times Lee Da Ji's actions makes me feel embarrassed ( for her, the things she does like picking up poop and the stuff, lol ). Chang Min is very cute on this series too.

What I really love about this drama is it's message about relationships. The hardships that they'd been through, the happiness they've shared, and how sometimes separation is needed for each to grow and build a stronger relationship over again. And most of all it conveys that in a relationship one should his / her best effort to make things work out and never regret anything as long as you have done your best. This is one of the dramas that makes you feel good at the end. I have to admit I was rooting for Da Ji and Seo Yoon Ho, but the ending still was great.

I gave it 9/10 stars :) If you haven't watched this drama, I highly recommend you watch it when you have time, this one really makes you look forward for the next episodes. I watched it at dramacrazy, link is HERE, just a warning, dramacrazy have a lot of crazy pop ups, but you should be fine, just close it as soon as one opens

What did you personally think about the drama?

Review:
I am not a very big fan of historical drama / fictional historical drama, except for a few, that's why I was a bit leery when I first started watching the show. It was showing up popular and got a lot of good comments that's why I thought there must be something in it, so I gave it a go, and I am sure glad I did. This is a close second to my all time favorite historical drama / fictional historical drama Sungkyungkwan Scandal.

Before I pour my heart out and tell you how awesome this drama is, one thing I can say for sure is that the acting is SUPERB! that I can guarantee you. I may be a little biased because I am a fan of  Kim Soo Hyun and Jung Il Woo, but in this drama you'll understand why.

The script was well thought and the scenes are just flawless! It is funny, sad and heart warming at the same time.

The only thing that I probably didn't like that much about it is their conversation / scholarly argument that is always made in reference to the Books of Confucius. But all in all I give it  an 8.5 out of 10 stars. You should go and watch it now!!!

I have watched all 20 Episodes with English Subtitles at epdrama, link is HERE ( site is a little slow in video streaming but video is in HD )

KPOP Fan : My KPOP History

My KPOP fascination started when I was in college. I seen this one music video as i was flipping through channels ( can't remeber where, i think Arirang ), it looked very sad, sounded really sad though I can't understand it, so I tried looking for it. And a lot of people probably know and love this song...
That song kept playing in my mind for months. I even tried singing it ( even though I can't carry a tune and can't speak nor understand the language ), I know sounded horrible LOL :p. Then another korean song became popular in my country ( Philippines ).
I also remember dancing to this tune in dance revo ( this is my fave btw ), and for the record I have 2 left foot.
Then Koreanovelas ( Korean Drama ) started becoming more and more popular, I became very interested in it, especially the soundtracks. The Endless Love Series are my all time favorites, especially Winter Sonata.
I still love KPOP to this day, I think I always will until I get old and wrinkly, haha. Here are some of my favorites.
Yep, I still like boybands and girlbands at this age ( 25 ).

What are your favorites?

Back to my roots, Surigao!

After my sister's graduation last year, our family decided to go back to Bislig City, Surigao del Sur, my hometown ( actually me and my siblings' ). It had been raining a lot that week, and let me tell you that place sure rains a lot, at least it was when I was over there. We have been anticipating to go to the beach, but the weather isn't cooperating at all. We then decided that before we go back to Cagayan de Oro, rain or shine, we must go to the beach!

It was cloudy that day when we went that day in Lawigan, good thing it wasn't pouring. We weren't expecting it would be a bumpy ride going there, the roads are not all the way paved yet, it took us around 30-45 minutes to get there ( don't quote me on that I have a bad memory, lol ), it was fun looking around the countryside though. When we got there I was horrified because the waves are huge, maybe not that huge ( but it looked huge to me ), and the sea water sure splashed at the cottages strong enough to make you soaking wet. I was sad because I don't know how to swim and with that water level and current, there is no way I could make it out alive. My uncle then consoled me that it will soon recede.

'Twas probably around 7 foot wooden seawall and the water is the same level was the wall when we got there, you won't see the shore at all. But just like what my uncle said the water receded minutes after we got there.

As soon as the water level was swim friendly we all took a dip like mad. It was refreshingly clean, you can see garbage here and there but it's not because the place is dirty, but the waves took it there. You would be able to see star fishes, sea urchins, sea weeds in there, and a whole lot more actually.

I also saw an abandoned port in that same area, and I thought to myself, this would be a great venus for a beach wedding.

After that short trip in the port, we then decide to go to a rock formation that looked like a ship, I have to say it looked like one and it was awesome.

It was probably a kilometer walk but was well worth it. We also seen mangroves and people looking for balat ( sea cucumber ) along the way.

On our way back I noticed that the water receded pretty far from the shore, you probably would have to walk at least 500 meters to be able to swim ( and the water level probably is up to your waist ).

It was exhuasting but we had a blast! If you haven't visited Surigao del Sur I suggest you do so, we all had a wonderful experience out there!
